We do our best to promote for-here bowls and smoothies to help lessen the amount of to-go waste. This is one of the reasons we transitioned from food cart to brick and mortar locations with lots of seating. We compost, recycle, and source products locally and responsibly. We’ve also been a member of 1% for the planet since starting almost 10 years ago, giving a portion of all purchases to our environmentally focused non-profit partners. While the bike blender is not central to the business anymore, we still use it and the Bike Powered Charging Station to showcase the energy we can create with human power.

We’ll keep you posted if we make it to grocery stores. In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for new items that can be stored in your freezer.
The menu is full of items that I personally want to eat and drink. It’s all built to be functional and healthy, but also tasty enough to share. Back when I first opened Moberi as a food cart, I had plenty of time to experiment – especially during the winter. I also spent a lot of time traveling and trying acai bowls while perfecting our recipe. Once we mastered our own Acai base, I chose toppings configurations that paired well for folks with a varying levels of sweet tooths. – Ryan

I was born and raised in Alaska and after some traveling and college in Idaho, I landed in Portland. The original reason was because I had a friend with an open couch, but I ended up staying because of the community. It’s been over 17 years and Portland is definitely my home.
It was hard to find on the job training for running a bike blending smoothie cart so I spent most of my twenties working odd jobs. Starting with Red Bull after college (hi Shannon) I worked in promotions and marketing for lots of fun companies. For several years, I was a cross country tour guide and worked in the off-season at an island resort on Saipan leading water aerobics classes, putting on shows and lifeguarding lazy rivers.
While getting Moberi started I was hosting LEGO building competitions at conventions around the country. Eventually, I made the jump to full time smoothie pedaler!
Changes from day-to-day, but today I could go for a Yoda Bowl paired with a Johnny Utah! A long time ago, prior to the Uncle Jesse Bowl, we had an Uncle Jesse Smoothie with Strawberries, Dates, Mint, and Coconut Milk that was amazing.
We have one goal in mind; to make healthy living approachable by serving up quality food that helps fuel a happy and healthy lifestyle.
